Founded by Nick Zamiska, a seasoned fire lieutenant and HazMat team director, Bad Day Training & Consulting brings extensive field experience in both public and private sectors. Mr. Zamiska holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Management from the University of Akron, complemented by a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus on emergency services management.

The organization concentrates on areas such as firefighting, hazardous materials response, emergency management, and emergency medical services. Its consulting offerings encompass emergency response planning and business continuity strategies tailored for organizations across various industries.

Throughout its operation, the firm has observed that clients typically seek its expertise during critical incidents—“bad days”—when prompt and effective response is essential. The firm's mission emphasizes equipping clients with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage these challenging situations effectively.

Team

The team comprises six professionals whose combined experience exceeds 140 years in firefighting, hazardous materials response, emergency management, law enforcement, and emergency medical services. Our instructors possess diverse backgrounds from both public agencies and private entities, many of whom have served as incident commanders at significant large-scale incidents and currently deliver training programs nationwide.

All team members are deeply committed to their respective fields and are dedicated to providing tailored, high-quality training solutions that align with our clients’ objectives.
